艺术 Yìshù Art

Looking for a place in a non speaking English country is not easy, my whole adventure started at 10 in the morning, when I had just a few hints where to go and find a place where I could do some pieces while my studio gets here.
One of the hints was this address and map in Chinese.

After looking for a while we stop at the Xiamen Art Museum, where I started to walk and look around.

The spaces around were a nice surprise, the weather that morning was nice and fresh do to the storm that we had for the past two days.

Beautiful sculptures and pieces of art around the garden give me a push to keep looking even if all the signs that I found were in Chinese.

And finally like if I could smell clay, I found it!!
I will be going to use one of this wheels starting next week, yes!
Just in time!! Before I lost track of what do I want to be doing.

      • I live in Aberdeen, North East Scotland. I have a tiny studio of my own but barely room to fit a small kiln. I’d love to find a larger place sometime – but I’m just starting out as a studio potter. I’ll need to earn some money first! Look forward to seeing what you make there.

      • Wow! I feel so important with people from Scotland looking at my blog, thank you for stoping by.
I had moved a lot in the past few years and found really nice ceramics studios in other countries. Here in Xiamen,China, there is not much. This is actually a kids place, but I will take all the best from it until my things get here.
I’m also new with my studio at home, before I used to go somewhere to work. Now I have a wheel at home and I will have a kiln that haven’t use yet!!
        Keep in touch, :))
